Consultants to the Archaeological Survey of India for the preparation of a Management Plan for the ancient Buddhist site of Ajanta Caves. Abha Narain Lambah Associates led a multi disciplinary team of architects, archaeologists, historians, conservation specialists, planners, landscape architects, geo technical experts and specialists from the fields of risk management, tourism, interpretation, signage and lighting design for a holistic conservation and management plan for the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ajanta Caves. The caves dating from the 2nd Century BC to the 5th Century AD are the most iconic site exemplifying Buddhist rock cut architecture and ancient Indian art.
