As Consultant to the Mumbai Regional Development Authority’s Heritage Conservation Society, our firm reviewed the heritage listing for Mumbai. This involved detailed surveys of heritage buildings and precincts, demarcation of heritage boundaries, photo documentation, digitization of city survey plans marking the location of heritage buildings and precincts and creation of a computerized database for the heritage historic building stock in the city of Mumbai, the first city in India to have adopted urban heritage regulations in 1995. The listing was officially approved and published for public response by the Municipal Corporation in 2012.
